ABOUT US

Facilitated by Jenea Buhler, Clinical Therapist, Addiction Counselor, Reiki Master Teacher, Shamanic/psychic Healer.

My name is Jenea Buhler.  I am a clinical therapist and addiction counselor using western therapeutic approaches.  I have working in the field of addiction and mental health for 20 years! I am also a Reiki Master Teacher in practice since 2012.  While I have the education and credentials, what I think is more important are my abilities that go beyond this world. As a child I discovered my gift for seeing the wounds in people and healing with my hands as well as my words. I have learned to understand and wield that gift as an adult. I am also what the modern day world and our ancestors would call a shaman.  I can live in a world between worlds where I am both a channel for information and teachings as well as for guidance regarding your personal wounds, needs and healing. I am also an astrologer, using the ancient practice of looking to the stars to understand our human experience and what is unfolding for you individually in this lifetime.  This is not about telling the future, rather about understanding all the parts of yourself and how they contribute to your journey, what lights you up, what shuts you down and what you are here to overcome or embrace.  This can be an empowering understanding of the self.

I put all of these gifts/practices together through intuitive guidance in an effort to help you find your way back to yourself.  I have a great deal of experience working with people one on one and in groups. My ultimate goal is to offer you the healing you need to get in alignment with your authentic self, and then teach you (rather remind you) how to heal yourself!

I began my journey into yoga in 2008 to help with anxiety, depression and chronic pain. I was disconnected from her body and floating aimlessly. Yoga helped me feel grounded and centered. I have always been drawn to movement, feeling that we are able to heal ourselves using the power of the mind, body and soul.  My goal now, as a yoga teacher, is to be a belt o. Bring all that I've learned to others.  Holding a safe space for people to find their breath, using it in ways to help them flow through.

"I started seeing Jenea over a year ago for Reiki. I wait until I feel like I am about to lose my mind before making appointments. (I don't recommend that) Then, when I get to Jenea's quaint, comfortable office, I tell her what is going on as best as I can explain it. She usually checks up on me a day or so later, and I will explain how much clearer my mind is and that the issues seem to feel so far away from me. COMMON QUESTIONS

Q-Ive  heard trauma and energy work are dangerous.....are you sure this is safe?

A-Jenea specializes in trauma therapy as a clinical social worker and a Reiki Master.  This retreat creates the safety needed to do this work both internally and externally.  

Q-Do I have to sleep at the house?

A-Yes, part of the retreat is holding the container so we all stay together in an effort to energetically keep the container safe and closed.  We ask that you limit your contact with the outside world for the 2 days while you are at the retreat.

Q- What should I bring?

A- The following is a list of suggested items: Toiletries, food for meals on your own (this work will make you hungry!), special drinks, blanket, pillow, stuffed animal or other things for emtional comfort, comfortable clothing, a journal, ear buds for our scheduled writing/free times, any item you wish to add to the alter.
